Scribing / Visual Minutes / Graphic Recording

As a live scribe I would attend your conference or live event and listen in order to understand and record the main points. This way of working is different to graphic facilitation in that I’m mainly there to illustrate the ideas that are being pushed outwards to the audience rather than being part of a consensus refining process, eg a strategy meeting or citizens’ assembly.

Although it does look spontaneous and ‘freestyle’ there is usually a plan in place and in order to do that I need to be briefed with the schedule and usually the main messages you want your audience to absorb. Scribing can be done remotely or in-person, either on paper or on a digital tablet hooked up to a screen.
